School was difficult for him, and he was forced to engaged in special education classes. Eventually he quit school during his high school career.
Didn't have any good relationships with the opposite gender. Later, he would have a pen pal, and was engaged, but he never met her.

In 2/22/2002, he was arrested for having illegal weapons in possession
12/11/2007, he was put to jail and convicted for 6 second degree murders, although it is believed that he killed around 49-60 women.

There wasn't any specific type of women he would kill, but just any adult prostitutes that he had wanted to kill.He would The age range was around 23-50, and all the victims were Canadians. Although he was also convicted of first degree murder of twenty one other women, until these charges were stayed on August 4, 2010.
DNA of some of these missing women was found on Pickton's property.
Method of Operation
Robert Pickton and his brother created a non-profit organization called "Piggy Place," where people would gather and do drugs and debauchery. The police suspected him as the reason to the disappearances, but nothing was done, as many popular politicians and other people were attending this event. He would give the guests a lot of food, which are believed to be remains of his victims, and drugs. Late, when everyone would leave, he would keep some of the prostitutes and have sex with them. Other times, he would give people drugs of their choice, and then bring them to his farm. He would have sex with them, then murder them on the grounds by gagging the victims, hack off pieces of their body and feed it to pigs, and bones other body parts in barrels with pig entrails. Lastly he would leave them to decompose or would feed them to the pigs. He had sometimes created his victims into pork sausages and give them to people in the area of his farm.
